Let it Go

It's time to let it go...

Hi lovey!

It's been a while & I have missed you!

I finally feel mostly settled, not jet lagged, & rested after moving out of Hawaii & traveling 6,000 miles to visit my family.

Today it was on my heart to talk about the seasons.

About surrender & shedding.

This is an excerpt from the new book!

I have about 5 new chapters since the weekend (up to 25 chapters now total, yay! & those babes who join my upcoming goddess circle will get access to them).

So let's dive in!

I used to always run away from any season that felt dark, cold, and anything but bright & happy.

Both physically (winter & fall) + figuratively (dark night of the soul, shadow work, etc).

I literally even lived in places the last 5 years that didn’t require me to own anything but sundresses & sandals.

I was so delighted to wake up on Saturday morning to crisp fall air.

I opened the window, laid in bed with my kitty, & just enjoyed the cool breeze blowing in.

After living in Hawaii, I hadn’t experienced any weather less than 80 degrees in almost a year.

While I absolutely adore warmer weather, sundresses, sandals, & the beach, this breath of fresh air was so welcomed and felt different this time.

Along with running away from cold weather, I would also always run away from fall & winter seasons of life.

It always felt like at the end of the year, things “went wrong,” until I finally realized it was just shit falling away that didn’t serve me anymore.

It’s the shedding. The letting go. The surrendering.

Just like we must do to step in to alignment with our higher self.

The colder seasons are also about rest.

That was never my strong suit.

As a Leo, and someone who has a birth chart with mostly fire elements, I am a super fired up passionate person that doesn’t usually like to rest.

I finally learned a few years ago after several times of burnout, that rest & elements to balance out my fire are absolutely necessary.

But I still fought it.

Until this year.

My word of the year was alignment.

And I finally accepted and surrendered to going with the flow of the Universe.

Instead of trying to control the universe myself.

I finally accepted that resting, shedding, and doing things like shadow work or accepting the emotions that come with the dark night of the soul, are all part of the process.

We cannot step in to our highest self, our ideal life, our goals, whatever you want to call it, without this.

I will share more soon about how 2020 has been for me, and why I have been a lot more quiet all year, but especially lately.

It felt important to get this message out there today to someone who needs it though.

What are you avoiding letting go of today?

How can you allow yourself to shed what isn’t serving you anymore?

Something beautiful that I did this morning to do this myself (& do often) is a fire ritual.

Simply write out all that isn’t serving you that you want to let go of.

Then burn the piece of paper up (be safe please!).

Let me know how it goes if you do this, and if you have any questions! :)

PS: helping women like you release past trauma, step in to your highest self, & heal your shit is my love + my passion!

My babe Lopa shared after the June virtual healing retreat, “Jess is like a soul sister + nature goddess that I love being around. Jess, thank you for your authenticity and love. Your insight is transformative.”

If you want to hop on to the early bird special for my upcoming goddess circle membership, just reach out to inquire to see if this is a good fit for you!

I love you SOOO much!!!

XOXO,

Jess
